Second Nine Weeks Objectives:
 
Kindergarten:Students will experience high/low and long/short sounds
Students will identify/perform in 4 voices: whisper, sing, shout, speak
Students will sing holiday songs
 
Grade 1:Students will memorize lyrics to 2 Veterans Day songs (army/marines)
Students will perform a dance to “The Russian Dance” from Peter Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker
Students will play simple patterns on rhythm instruments
Grade 2:Students will sing Patriotic/Veterans Day songs
Students will respond to tempo changes
Students will play quarter/eighth notes on classroom instruments
 
Grade 3:Students will memorize lyrics to 5 Military songs
Students will sing/move to holiday music
Students will learn a simple square dance
 
Grade 4:Students will prepare for December 15 performance
Students will sing/move to music
Students will memorize lyrics to 5 Military songs
 
Grade 5:Students will perform on Veterans Day, 11/11
Students will study holiday music from various cultures
Students will play patterns on classroom instruments
