The purpose of Fort Bend ISD school health program is the optimal maintenance, promotion, protection, and improvement of student, staff, and community health. The program is designed to assure a safe, healthy environment conducive to learning and to provide professional care for those who become ill or injured while at school. We work with everyone involved with students.
 
The school health program is not a substitute for the health care which parents should provide for children. We believe that parents are primarily responsible for the care of their children. Rather than relieving the parents responsibilities, the school health program is established to encourage individuals to utilize the services of a physician, dentist, optometrist, and community agencies.
