Welcome to 3rd Grade
Welcome to third grade! In Reading Workshop we have opportunities to explore a variety of reading material and strategies. We will be writing every day in Writing Workshop and studying words in Word Study. This year your child will be engaging in several hands-on science experiences, including chemical experiments, space exploration and growing Wisconsin Fast Plants. In Social Studies, we will take a journey through communities. Math concepts include place value, telling time, estimation, graphing, and problem solving using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Children will participate in writing and cooperative learning in all subject areas. We look forward to a great school year!
