My name is Renee Shanar, I am the counselor’s assistant at Quail Valley Elementary. I assist Myrtle St. Julien, our school counselor, in numerous areas. Here at QVE we have different programs such as the Mentor Program, Dulles PALS, etc. The counselor and I work very closely to maintain these programs. My position consists of clerical responsibilities, assisting the Counselor with her duties, and most of all supporting our students with what they may need throughout the day. I am originally from California and moved to Texas ten years ago. I am married with two beautiful daughters. Adriana is eight years old and is in the third grade. Anna is five years old and is in Pre-Kindergarten. We enjoy bike riding, road trips, and being outside. Our family time is very important to us, so when we have a little down time, we usually try to spend it together.
