All students in grades Kindergarten through Sixth will be working on class projects that integrate technology into the classroom curriculum. This integration of technology and class work makes learning more interesting and up-to-date, while preparing our students for secondary school and beyond. At Quail Valley we are fortunate to have a computer lab containing 27computers for teacher and student use, as well as an Airliner (interactive wireless slate), 2 printers, an overhead projector, and scanner. Also, most classrooms have 1 teacher computer and at least 4 student computers. There are also SMART Boards that be checked out for teacher use in the classroom. Most teachers in the building also have in their classroom a document camera, projector, and an Airliner wireless slate. Ms. Crow is the Instructional Technology Specialist at Quail Valley Elementary. This is her second year as ITS, but has been teaching for 10 years now, 8 of those in the district. She has taught students with special needs, 4th grade, and 5th grade math and science. Ms. Crow rotates every other week between QVE and her other campus, Dulles Elementary. The weeks that she is at QVE she will be helping to teach classes, train teachers, as well as help to integrate technology into the classroom.
