Art 1 is a prerequisite for all other art courses in senior high school. It is an introductory course to all the fundamental techniques and terminology. Students will learn to appreciate artworks of masters and their fellow students. The course is designed to help students with little or no artistic background or training and develop basic skill and an appreciation for art. The projects are to develop a student’s artistic self-esteem and stress open-ended problem solving techniques. There is a required art fee for the course.
