Student Council (STUCO)
Mission Statement
The Missouri City Middle School (MCMS) Student Council (STUCO) provides opportunities for student leadership and a mechanism for identifying, discussing and solving initiatives that affect MCMS students, including efforts to improve levels of safety on campus, efforts to improve cleanliness and functionality of campus facilities, as well as sponsoring events to enrich the campus experience for all students.
Power, Functions and Responsibilities of the MCMS STUCO:
1. To provide the primary representation of the student body and exercise its authority in the students’ name for the students' welfare.
2. To provide opportunities for students to participate in a representative form of government based on democratic processes.
3. To provide experiences that help to increase responsibility, initiative and self-direction.
4. To establish lines of communication between students, teachers, and administrators outside of the regular classroom environment.

5. To foster good citizenship, trust and a sense of responsibility toward our school and community.
