Description

Diversity is the strength of the Fort Bend Independent School District. It is also the force that drives Lake Olympia Middle School to accomplish great things. The Diversity Club, with its few, but proud members, is working on several upcoming projects that will help bring cultural awareness, tolerance, and of course unity among our school.
Members of the Diversity Club designed t-shirts earlier this school year that will be ready for sale during the months of November and December. Keep an eye out for them!
Our Diversity Club members also understand how hard their teachers and administrators work! That’s why they too have been working diligently to prepare a “lil somethin” for our faculty and staff. We want them to know how grateful the student body is by giving them a small but tasty treat for all they do! Thank You Teachers!
Along with the Student Council, the Diversity Club will be co-sponsoring this years No Place for Hate and Gun Safety campaigns. Lake Olympia students will sign a Resolution for Peace indicating their understanding and commitment to these pledges and help keep our school secure and united.

Although it’s still quite a while away, the Diversity Club will be sponsoring Picture This! at the end of January. What exactly is this? Picture This! is a day where students can take affordable professional pictures with their friends that helps promote the message of cultural unity among our school community. More information will be available soon!
There’s still time to join! If your child is interested in becoming a member of the Diversity Club, please have them come by room 1403 and pick up an information sheet and permission slip. You can also contact Mrs. Diaz-Wu or Mrs. Toni Hill-Kennedy.
