Welcome to the Counseling Section! I'm Ellen Rothberg and this is my third year as the counselor at Highlands. I have lived in Sugar Land for over 20 years, and I'm proud to say that my two children are graduates of FBISD schools. My children are now adults and out on their own, but fortunately, my husband and I still have a "furchild" at home. Our shih tzu, Nala, keeps us pretty busy with walks and daily belly rubs.

As the school counselor, I promote positive attitudes among students toward self, family, peers, and community. The goal at Highlands is to help solve problems and alleviate concerns that stand in the way of student achievement. Above all else, I want Highlands to be a safe environment where children learn everyday.
