Welcome to Art

ART I 6TH GRADE
An exploration of art history, art appreciation, and art production with the use of a variety of art materials to create paintings, drawings and sculptures. This course is designed to enable students to develop their problem-solving and creative thinking skills while teaching them to perceive the world around them, interpret emotion though a variety of artistic media, and evaluate their own art work as well as the work of other artists.

ART II 7TH AND 8TH GRADE
Students explore basic elements of art and principals of design using a variety of media and techniques. Art appreciation and art history are basic to the course.
 
ART III 8TH GRADE (Prerequisite Art II)
Students develop more advanced techniques using a variety of media and techniques. Originality of work and creativity are stressed. Art appreciation and art history are basic to the course.
