PALS stands for Peer Assistant Leaders. The PALS class consist of 7th and 8th grade students who have gone through a nomination and interview process to be in the class. PALS mentor students from Holley Elementary, work with the special needs students at HBMS, assist new students around the school, give presentations on Teens Against Tobacco and Shaken Baby Syndrome. PALS also help teachers ,counslers and principals with making posters , preparing for TAKS testing , babysitting at open house and any other jobs. PALS are also in charge of Red Ribbon Week, Mix It Up Lunch, Santa's Exchange, bullying, suicide prevention and child abuse. This class is a service to HBMS and the community in teaching students to help others.
