Instructional Technology involves overseeing the technology needs of the campus (including office, teachers, and students) as well as effectively incorporating technology into the curriculum of the classroom. The technology of the campus includes computer aided instruction in the classroom and in two computer labs as well as video technology. Nancy Volding (standing) is the Instructional Technology Specialist on campus daily to provide support and guidance. Mrs. Volding has a Masters degree in Education with emphasis in Instructional Technology from Houston Baptist University and an undergraduate degree from Texas A & M University. In addition, GMS is proud of the fact that they offer Broadcast Journalism classes taught by Carolyn Brickman (seated in the foreground). Mrs. Brickman has built the studio and program that has evolved into the Broadcasting classes that are taught by Mrs. Brickman and Nicole Lawson. Students learn how to create and produce news shows and special reports as well as claymation and other creative products that are broadcast over school-wide distributed video for all students to see.
