Welcome to Physics I-Pre AP

Prerequisite: Biology, and Chemistry (or Integrated Physics & Chemistry), and Algebra II.
The major topics of study are mechanics of particles and rigid bodies, fluids, heat, wave motion, sound, light, electricity, magnetism, and electromagnetism. Emphasis is placed upon the identification of fundamental quantities and the principles which are used to organize and comprehend physical events. Laboratory investigations emphasize development of process skills and safe manipulation of lab instrumentation apparatus.
