The Math Specialist works closely with the curriculum department to facilitate effective delivery of curriculum and instruction. She serves as a resource for teachers by recommending teaching strategies and providing direct services in curriculum and staff development. She provides assistance to the classroom teacher in planning effective instruction for students and models teaching techniques for teachers. Math Specialists meet regularly with the curriculum coordinator, district helping teachers, and with other content specialists. She assists in the orientation and mentoring of new teachers in the school. as well as assisting in the development and implementation of staff development programs.
