Welcome to Life Management Skills

Life Management Skills I: This course is for boys and girls interested in developing an understanding of skills that will enhance their personal success in everyday living. Students will develop knowledge and skill in nutrition and food preparation, clothing selection and basic sewing, goal setting and decision making, and consumer choices. Students will also learn about positive relationship building, conflict resolution, and parenting skills. LMS I is an introduction to career planning and is a pre-requisite for Life Management Skills II.

Life Management Skills II: (Prerequisite: Life Management Skills I) This course builds upon the introduction given in LMS I. Students enhance their understanding of advanced nutrition and food preparation, consumer education, management of resources, wardrobe planning and intermediate sewing skills, housing decisions and interior design, communication and family life, and career exploration.
