Welcome to United States History H/AP/GT

The Advanced placement American history course is a survey of American history from the 1500's to the present. This course is designed to be taught like an introductory level college course. It uses a college textbook and other reading materials that are at a college reading level. Students will analyze primary source and secondary source documents and apply critical thinking skills to historical issues through essay writing in the form of document based essays. This course requires a time commitment of several hours of study per week.
