Welcome to Chemisry I- Honors/GT

Chemistry I Honors /GT& Pre AP is a study of the properties of the substances making up the world and the interactions of these substances. The course is designed to provide your son or daughter with a strong foundation in this discipline. Strong emphasis is placed on developing problem solving skills, inductive and intuitive reasoning, and laboratory experiences that will be provided to support the discipline of chemistry. The level of problem solving will be more challenging that of our Advanced level. Advanced and Honors classes will cover the same concepts with differences in depth of study in various topics (e.g. quantum concepts, chemical bonding and thermochemistry will be covered more extensively).
