Welcome to Spanish III PreAP
Spanish III is a continuation of Spanish II. It is recommended that students have earned an eighty-five or above for each semester of Spanish II, and that they have strong vocabulary, grammar, and reading skills. Spanish III Honors places an emphasis on oral and written communication, but includes a great deal of grammar, vocabulary, and reading in a fast-paced environment. Oral proficiency will be tested regularly to promote the emerging fluency of the student. This course will combine all previous knowledge form Spanish I and II and apply the new knowledge through reading and writing activities, and various other projects. This course reviews and extends Spanish II grammar skills and vocabulary. More complex grammar structures will be introduced and practiced. Reading comprehension through literature will also be stressed. It is highly recommended that students who plan to take Spanish IV Language AP and Spanish V Literature AP take this course for a more in-depth preparation necessary towards that goal.
