Welcome to Fourth Grade

Welcome to Fourth Grade. Fourth grade is a journey through Texas from past to present. We will learn about all the different cultures, people, and experiences through literature, simulations, Science experiments, research projects, and Internet field trips. Fourth grade is a year when Writing takes on a major role in learning just like Reading and Math have in the past years. Students will be writing many varied compositions and reading different types of stories and novels. Fourth graders will be taking on new challenges this school year. We encourage students to actively read and problem solve. This will help them with their Reading skills and will span across our varied curriculum. We also encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s learning and academics.
