The Baines Middle School Spanish Club has taken on the challenge of helping BMS and the community become better stewards of our natural resources. To encourage environmental stewardship, we are launching an ongoing campaign for paper collection via the green and yellow Paper Retrievers that are in the parking lot. We are collecting paper items for recycling. Click the "Related Document" link below to see what can and cannot go into the Paper Retriever. Inside our building, we have paper recycling bins in every classroom and office, and the Spanish Club goes around every Friday morning to empty the bins and put the paper products in the Paper Retrievers.
To help kick off this campaign in the community, we will celebrate America Recycles Day by having a self-serve paper drive on Sunday, November 15th. Our campus partner, The Harvest UMC, is also involved in helping us to kick this off. Please drop off all of your unwanted catalogs, junk mail, magazines, paper, and newspaper for recycling on November 15th, as well as at any time prior to November 15th or at any time in the future. Please do not bring anything that is wet, or any cardboard products (boxes, empty soda 12-pack boxes, etc.). Thank you again for helping to make our community and our planet a better place to live for future generations by becoming a steward of our natural resources. You will also help the school raise money based on the tonnage of paper we collect every month.
