This meeting will provide parents information about the Gifted and Talented Program, the characteristics of a gifted child, and the FBISD identification process. The meeting is to help parents decide if they should refer their children for the GT Program. You may refer your child for testing without attending this meeting.

Children are not allowed in the Annex per building policy.

Freeman Photography will be back on campus Monday, September 20th, for Fall Portraits. Picture packets containing details about picture day will be distributed to students approximately one week prior. Pictures will be taken in students' PE or Health class. Students who had their picture taken at orientation will have an opportunity to have their picture retaken if they aren't satisfied with their picture. Students wanting retakes must return their entire package in the Freeman Photography envelope with the barcode label on the outside. These students will not get a new ID.Please note: Students who had their picture taken at orientation but who did not buy a package cannot do retakes unless they purchase a package. Any student who wants to buy the picture taken at orientation can turn in an order form on Sept. 20th. Extra order forms are available at the front desk. Student ID's will be created for those that did not have one made at orientation. Please note that students must be in compliance with the school dress code in order to be photographed.

To refer your child for the Gifted & talented Program, request a Parent Referral Form from the school counselor or download it from the district website

Return referral to the school counselor by September 24th.
Students currently identified as GT do NOT need to be referred to maintain their current identification. Identified students should only be referred if they wish to be tested for identification in additional subject areas.
