An overview of the development of music and cultures, past and present. A variety of musical genres will be explored, with correlations to academic TAKS objectives. Students will have hands-on experiences with instruments, technology, and different choral settings. Students will learn how music integrates with the other fine arts and areas of study. An appreciation for musical skills developed outside of the APE setting will also be recognized.
