Welcome to the Third Grade Web Page!

The third grade teachers are: Rena Liu, Carol Boykin, Renee Drummond, Monica Campos, Carlos Topete, Leslie Soucek, and Lily Monroe.

Our conference times are at 2:00-2:45. We are available to meet with you at that time or before/after school as daily schedules allow. Please call the school at 281-634-4600 or send an e-mail to make an appointment.

Lunch is from 11:45-12:15
Recess/Study Hall is from 12:15-12:45
Dismissal time is at 3:00
Please try not to take your child out of class, as all of our classroom time is very valuable!

Homework:
Homework assignments are assigned by the individual classroom teachers. All students are responsible to do and bring their homework daily. Homework is to review skills learned during class and to teach responsibility.

Failing Grades:
Students with failing grades on assignments will be required to have the assignment signed by the parent and he or she should also correct the errors and bring it to school as soon as possible.

Tuesday Folders:
Tuesday folders are sent home weekly. Please check and signed and returned each Wednesday. The folders contain graded work from the week as well as a behavior chart. Behavior rules are listed in the folder. Any behaviors that stop a teacher from teaching or stop a student from learning will not be tolerated. We expect the very best from AFE students!

You can help your child do better in school by doing the following:
- Encourage your child to read and play games that require thinking skills or physical exercise rather than doing mindless activities in their spare time.
- Look over their homework and show them that you are interested in their schoolwork.
We appreciate all that you do as parents and could not be successful in the classroom without your support at home. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
