Tuesday, November 24 – There will not be any tutorials or a late bus. Have a great Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday, December 10 – This will be the last tutorial day for the 1st semester. There will not be any tutorials or a late bus provided on any day during semester exam week.

1. Attention 7th grade students participating in The Dream Tour- please return your permission forms to Mrs. Davila's office in Room 318 as soon as possible! Club News 2. Smencils are finally here!!! Ink Slingers will be selling Smencils (smelly pencils) before and after school and at lunch today. Smencils cost $1 per pencil. Bring your money and buy one of every scent! 2. Attention Geography club members: Our last November meeting is today. We will start in Mrs. Mullins' room, 408, for a snack and then move to the computer lab for some play offs. Hope to see you there!

SMS Science Fair
|
|
SCIENCE FAIR IS COMING TO SMS! The 2010 SMS Science Fair will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the small gym. Most of the judging will occur during the day, however the semi-final round will be held immediately after school. Only those students who make it to the semi-finals are required to stay after school. The awards ceremony will begin as soon as the judges are finished, at approximately 5:30 p.m. The following powerpoint may help parents and mentors understand the requirements for the SMS Science Fair and the regional Houston Science & Engineering Fair. If you have further questions about science fair, please contact your student’s science teacher! Good luck, and great competition!

Attention Sixth Grade Parents

There are new immunization requirements for all 7th graders. Before the first day of 7th grade the clinic will need a record of proof that your student has received the following required immunizations: 1. TDAP 2. 2nd Varicella- if student has not had Chicken Pox disease. 3. Meningitis If your child has already received these required immunizations records can be faxed to 281-634-6373.
