News from the Nurse
|
|
To All 6th Grade Parents: This is to inform you of the new guidelines that the state of Texas passed last year regarding new immunization requirements. Beginning this year, incoming 7th graders were required to get Tdap, Meningitis, and Varicella (or proof of chickenpox disease). So make sure if you are going to the doctor between now and the start of the next school year (2010-2011) that you get these for your 6th grader. If your child has already had these immunizations, please furnish the school with a copy for their records. 7th graders will NOT be allowed to start next school year if they are not up to date on their immunizations. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the SLMS Clinic @ 281-634-8745. Please read the "Related Document' for the new immunizations requirements for all students entering 7th grade. Thank you.
