The Austin High School Library is the main research center for our school. Using online resources including Gale and EBSCO, plus netTrekker and AP Images, students can find information on just about any topic of interest.
 
At home students are required to use passwords to login to the library databases. At school passwords are not required, and students are able to e-mail articles home via the database.

How many books am I able to check-out of the AHS Library? How long may I keep them?
 
You may check out 5 books. Most books are checked out for two weeks. During research times, many books are placed on reserve.
 
Do I need my AHS student ID card to check-out books?
 
This is the preferred type of ID, but the Library will accept your driver's license or a copy of your schedule.
 

May I use the computer in the Library to word process and search on-line data bases?
 
Yes, as long as you have a signed AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) on file at school, and know your log-on information. All users must log-on, and that number is private and not to be shared with other students.
