Marilyn Glover was elected to Position 6 of the Board of Trustees
in 2009. She is married to former Missouri City Councilman Albert
Glover, Jr. and they have three adult sons together. Both of her
children (one deceased) graduated from Fort Bend ISD schools. She
attended the University of Houston. Her work experience is varied
with a career that began at NASA and continued in the Corporate
sector where she served as a Compensation Manager, Recruitment/Employee
Relations Manager, and ultimately as the Southwest Area Personnel
Manager with responsibility for Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New
Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. Following her corporate experience,
she worked as a legislative aide for a former local state representative,
as an advocate for battered women/men for the Fort Bend County District
Attorney, and for a Fort Bend County Commissioner handling constituent
issues and serving as a liaison with various agencies. She has volunteered
extensively in the Fort Bend Community and is a current member of
the Council of Resources for the Fort Bend Women’s Center.
She has served as past President of Fort Bend YMCA; Past Executive
Board Director – Fort Bend Literacy Council; Past Fort Bend
Women’s Center Board Member and as a volunteer for other non-profit
organizations.
