David Reitz, Secretary

Since David Reitz was elected to Position 7 of the Board of Trustees in 2007, he has completed over 90 hours of school board training, including classes in Municipal Bond Underwriting, Compensation Trends, and Student Achievement Through Principal Appraisals. David and his wife, Patty, have two children in Fort Bend ISD schools and a Mechanical Engineering student who graduated from FBISD in 2009. He is a former Marine, and his favorite volunteer activity is speaking at his children’s schools every year on Veterans Day. David earned his Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Studies from Rice University, which he attended on a full scholarship from the United States Marine Corps. After serving around the world as an infantry officer, he came back to Houston to work for a large telecommunications company. While working, he went back to school to earn an MBA from Le Tourneau University. As a senior database administrator, he leads a team producing a suite of operational metrics to support sales operations.
