Dr. Phillys Hill currently serves as the District's Chief Academic Officer. She joined Fort Bend ISD in August 2012 as an Assistant Superintendent.
Dr. Hill is an experienced education leader with more than 32 years in public education. She was the Executive Director of Elementary Schools in Killeen ISD before she came to Fort Bend ISD. Prior to that, she served as the District Instructional Leader/Assistant Superintendent for four years, an elementary principal for 13 years and assistant principal for two years, all in the Killeen school system. Dr. Hill’s recognitions include being named the 2006 Texas Elementary Principal of the Year and National Distinguished Principal, as well as the Texas Classroom Teachers’ Elementary Administrator of the Year.
She received her Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University and her Superintendent Certification from Tarleton State University. She earned her Master of Education degree at University of Mary Hardin Baylor, which is also where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree.
